Required Supplies:

3-ring binder with paper

Blue or Black Ink Pens (NO GEL PENS)

#2 Lead Pencils

Pocket Calculator (preferred scientific calculator)

Index Cards, Lined

2 Hi-liters

Grading Scale:

A = 90 100 B = 80 89 C = 70 79

D = 60 69 59 and below = F

Class starts immediately after the tardy bell rings, and will be dismissed by the teacher at the end of the period, not the bell. Students are to enter the room, sit in their assigned seat, and have textbook open and working when the tardy bell rings. No student will be permitted to leave the classroom to get supplies. Bring everything you need to class.

NO FOOD, GUM, CANDY, DRINKS OR ANY OTHER ITEM IN MOUTH, WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE CLASSROOM OR LABORATORY.

Students are expected to read each assigned section before its discussion in class. Unscheduled quizzes may be utilized to ensure that students are current on reading assignments.

AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS ARE PROVIDE, THEREFORE:

NO EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS

Students will be given sufficient time to complete all assignments. Should a student choose to turn in an assignment after the due date the following policy shall apply: 1 day late = 10 point deduction; 2 days late = 25 points deduction; 3 days late = 40 points deduction. No late work will be accepted after the third day. This does not apply to excused absences as recorded in the main office.

Tests will be given on scheduled dates unless moved by teacher, absences during section does not excuse student from scheduled testing. Students who will be absent on test days for activities may take the test before scheduled date.

All Physical Science students will be tested on the last teaching day of the week, over material covered that week. This is usually on Friday, but may be on another day due to a shortened school week.
